You did nail it. I miss that kind of “camaraderie”. I had it when I was in the Airforce, we all came together. It didn’t matter where you came from, you didn’t have to be a clone or copy of someone else, being an individual was respected. We froze in Korea, melted in the Phillipines and ate sand in sandstorms. But I would not trade on frickin minute of it. Everytime we deployed we’d wind up coming back home a lot skinnier. I was one of the guys despite the fact I was a gal. No “Acting” involved just real friendship.

You nailed it. Hopefully the new administration will leave good crews alone more than they did in the past, that is once you’ve went to 12′s(just kidding). Hopefully everyone gets a chance to be with a crew like that for most of their career. The weird thing, when transfers break up a good crew you make more good friends, and about the time you get that chemistry with your new crew, the transfer list bites you in the butt again.

The “chemistry” of that crew is unmatched in the fire service. 13 years on, and I’ve never seen anything like it. Don’t get any idea’s, I get my seat back you dirty B shifter….
