At least hold off until I go across the pond in five years. Then maybe it will come in handy. After being pressed for four years of schooling to learn Spanish, I told myself once and for all that I would take too a language that I liked. Italian wasn't happening after many failed attempts. So after my daughter came home speaking German ( I swear she was telling me off ) I chose that to be my first to conquer. Learning the language my family came from makes me feel good inside as well. So, Bruder: mein haken sagen michtszu danken. :) and no its doesn't offend me. I feel the intellectual need of a foreign language.
